Publisher's summary

A killer’s blade craves fresh blood...

Marcus Holt is Subject B, a Vietnam veteran forced to take part in Professor Abel Worthe’s sadistic experiment. Worthe keeps his human lab rats in a village haunted by murderous ghosts and forces them to one terrifying ordeal after another. This time, the prisoners find themselves hunted by another vicious spirit.

Within the walls of a rotting old New England cottage, the ghost of a vicious serial killer lies in wait. His name is Christopher, and his razor-sharp bayonet longs to taste the blood of a fresh victim.

Even as they plan to defeat Christopher, Marcus prepares for an onslaught from outside the village walls, and finds strange new allies in the coming battle. He must fight on two fronts, battling an undead killer within the village walls and an enemy gathering strength beyond the gates.

But will victory be enough to free them all from the professor’s unholy grasp? Or, is it all just another trap in Worthe’s diabolical game?

Indians and Bayonet

I love this series as I love ghosts. I totally enjoy Ron Ripley’s writing and Thom Bowers narration and highly recommend them if you enjoy ghostly horror. In this book Christopher is dangerous with his bayonet which Marcus and Timmy do battle with, Alex is becoming more skilled with the ghosts, his love of Elaine and Joyce continues on in her escape. But cannot wait for next book to find out about Marcus and Alex and what happen when Abel as he continues his experiments and goes for Shane’s house. Recommend you listen to series from book1 to 6 to get the full effects of the characters

Best one yet!

I am loving this series! My only complaint about this book is that it ended too soon. Ron Ripley sure knows how to put these characters through hell. We lost a few people but also visited an old friend in this book. I hope this ‘old friend’ is in more of the next book as I have missed the character. I do enjoy Ron Ripley’s character development in the series, especially with the use of past memories that some of the characters share with us, you really get to know them and a little bit more about who they are and why they do what they do. The bigger changes to the characters are expertly brought on slow but make a big change to the plot. We’ve got someone here slowly, for lack of a better description, going crazy and another who is able to use the ghosts to their advantage- big game changers there! I can not wait to see what happens next! Why did it have to end so soon? 5 stars for Thom Bowers’ narration as well!

Never a dull moment in the village!

Worth was always crazy, but now, he’s worse! Troubles mount for him and his people. It’s great to see the elusion of control slip away, book by book! I can’t wait to read the next!

Brilliant.

Did I just read this in a day...why yes, yes I did!! Lol.

I can't say too much about the plot because it will be too easy to spoil something but omg, what a ride. We get some unexpected things happening like Meredith, seeing into Worthes past, Alex coming into his own, Timmy, Marcus, and seeing Worthe become rattled. Also Joyce and her journey!!! Someone familiar makes another guest appearance and I do hope we see more of him!! That's all I can say because so much happens and things start to change and I don't want to spoil anything.

Another absolute roller coaster. I couldn't put it down so finished it in a few hours. Worthe does some stuff that is stomach churning and I admit to finding those bits hard to read but I also loved seeing him get rattled so much. I can't figure out where the ending is going, which is a good thing I suppose, but I'm so anxious to see what happens.

I can't recommend this series enough!! Seriously, go read it, you won't be sorry.

Thom Bowers is flawless in his narration. He sent shivers down my spine with some scenes.

I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts

Wow all I can say

Another great book well written awesome narration. I really think good ole ave has gone off the deep end he's lost what little mind he had left. Was glad to see Shane he's my fav character. I can't wait to see what happens with Marcus Alex Joyce and timmy. And I'm wondering what will happen to David.

The Village reaches a boiling point.

Things continue to spiral into madness at the village. Desperation plagues both sides, and sacrifices are made in an effort to gain control. Leading up to the final conflict, hints are given to some familiar faces that may lend aid.
