Extremely Steamy!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💛🖤💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😳☺️🤫😍

The Hero: Dante - a Fae and an assassin. He has a mission to assassinate the new leader of Moscow and bring about the future his people mapped out for the upcoming generations of Fae.

The heroine(s): Gia - human and the bodyguard to Amara, the Fae female who is taking over as leader of Moscow who is about to take “the pledge” to the people. The leader has renounced ties to her own clan for their callous ways.

The Story: Gia and Dante meet in bar on the eve of the most important day of both of their lives. They have a romantic encounter in the restroom of the bar. Both of them have plans and know that they have to take care of business, but neither want to leave the other and sense a connection between each other.

Gia realizes that being with Dante is futile. He is the threat that she is fighting against. Though when she is injured by Dante, he takes a decision out of her hands when he has to mate with her in order to save her life. The intimate scenes were sizzling hot, but for me there were too many. I would have liked more of a story.

The narration was great. The book was written in dual POV and had dual narration which I like. It was done by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott. Wen has a clear and intelligent sounding voice which worked for Gia since she is a bodyguard and Kai Kennicott has a deep sexy voice and when he reads the female lines, it doesn’t grate on my nerves like some male narrators.

Overall I liked the story and I plan to listen to more of this series. I like the Fae in this one. They have a great package, fun powers, and they aren’t the standard Legolas-like Fae with long blonde hair and pointy ears. They are alpha’s with vampire teeth and they do have pointy ears, but only when aroused.

DNF - quit at 30%
I don’t know, the sexual tension is high (but it’s not the kind I enjoy to read about), and the back story is very weak. The world building is barely there either, I didn’t comprehend what was going on to drive the story. How could a human hope to be a successful bodyguard for a fae against other supernatural beings, that’s a suicide mission if I ever read one. Why were these political situations happening, how did this story evolve into being? The characters are too lust driven to really get a feel for them, to get to know them, to develop an opinion of them. They were just flat. The sexual tension does not lend itself to a mate bond or love, just lust. This is the kind of story that frustrates me. Sexual tension is not enough to drive a story & keep me interested. By the point I quit, it felt like it was just a power play to see who could be the dominant personality in the relationship & they hadn’t even had sex yet, just foreplay that one time at the bar to this point. On top of that, the heroine is a Virgin! The rest of the story wasn’t important anymore. I don’t want to read about all this sexual tension & power struggles in a relationship, I want an actual story to go with all of it. Something legitimate to drive the story. If there’s not an actual story by 30%, why would I want to read it?

At my age, life is to short & my time to important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.

It’s a bang-a-thon. With no build up to the relationship and very little world build.

This series is not for this picky reader.

Happy reading! DD 💕

This one wasn't really for me, it wasn't that I was badly written or anything it actually wasn't.
It was just that It lacked substance and was mainly about the smut.
Don't get me wrong I like it as much as the next girl but this story was mainly the sex at the expense of the actual storyline itself.
I thought the world-building and the plot were also rather lacking.
Add in the constant two-ing and throwing when it came to Dante and Gia's affections and it got a tad tiresome.
It seemed that they themselves didn't even know what they wanted and where they were at.
This is basically a fated mate's story and I did finish this but won't be continuing on any further with this series.
If you want something quick and easy and that's all about the heat then this may be a fit for you.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Stolen by the Fae (Fae's Claim #1).

Good quick read

I found this to be a good quick easy read, that was quite hot. Definitely a lot of sex, along with sex talk. I found some words a bit overly used and the story strayed from it’s original content, to mostly sex lol. It was a decent read though.

He is a fae assassin, she's a human bodyguard of his target. She gets stolen by him in an effort to save her life since she wasn't meant to be his victim.

When I read the synopsis of this one, I was really excited. I thought that this would be right up my alley. But nope. Sadly, this fell flat and didn't live up to its premise or my expectations.

Let me say that what I didn't expect of this one was the fact that this is an erotica book. It may not have BDSM, but it was full on sex upon sex upon sex. Even when they didn't have sex, they would think about it, dream about it, breathe it, sense it, speak about it, you name it, you get it. It was a fuckfest and I'm sorry for my language, but that's what this one was. I cared to see more about the nonexistent plot to care about them, which was my biggest disappointment. There was nothing that would keep me invested or interested that I would tolerate all the sexy scenes to get to the point.

I really didn't enjoy this one, I'm sorry but this didn't make any sense to me whatsover. If I'm truly honest I'd give this 1 star, but I almost never do that, so favorably it will take 2 stars from me. If it's something you'd enjoy, of course feel free and I hope you will indeed enjoy it more than I did.

ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

★★★ This is it. KIDNAPPED BY THE FAE is the final book in the Fae's Claim Series. What a journey! WOW! I am numb, so I'll let Hawke and Charley do the talking... ★★★

"The fuck you talking about?"
I lower my chin, crack open my eyelids. "You heard me. I want you to take my every hole. Mark me. Write your name on every pore of my body. Shoot me up with your cum, wrap me up in your essence, paint your orgasm on my breath, I want you to beat me; wipe out the imprints of his hand on me, replace his scars with your own, own me, break me. I want you to fill me up until I can’t feel him in me."
His jaw hardens. A nerve throbs at his temple.
"Why?"
"What?"
"Why me?"
"Is that all you have to say after I… I ripped my heart open and bared it all to you? After I shared my innermost desires with you? That’s what you ask?"
He glares, "Don’t change the topic."
I scowl.
"Why did you choose me, Char?"
"Because…" I swallow; my chin wobbles. I drag my trembling fingers off of him, twist them together in front of me. "Because…"
His left eyelid twitches. The muscles of his jaw are so tight. Will they snap? He pinches his lips together, and the tips of his canines protrude on either side. His cheekbones are so damn sharp, they could cut my skin with their edges. The length of him inside of me throbs and I can’t stop the shudder that rockets through me. He flicks back his ears; the triceps of his forearms ripple with suppressed tension. Every part of him that comes in contact with me could hurt me, rip me to shreds… He could build me up again, so I could, once and for all, forget my past. Put those horrible memories behind me and move on.
"Say it." He demands. I tremble. Can I? Will I? Do I dare share the one thing I have never admitted to anyone—least of all, to myself?
"Now." His voice lowers to that hush that flays me with more precision than a real-life flogger. "Charley."
I lift my chin, hold his burning gaze. "Because I trust you to not show me any mercy..."

Really just not good....

I only typically write reviews for something that I either absolutely without a doubt love or something that is just bad. This review is definitely not the former kind. This book is so terrible. It’s a paranormal romance mixed with urban fantasy (which done right is actually great) but the romance in this book isn’t really romance. It’s lots of kinda weirdly described sex. The main male character Dante, meets a girl at a bar, finger fucks her in the bath room leaves, almost accidentally kills her, mates with her to save her life, has one real conversation, has sex with her for the first time and tells her he loves her in a matter of maybe MAYBE 12 hours? It’s completely unrealistic and again lacks the actually romance part. this book had no world building, very little actually action, brushes over major plot points and no real point, nothing that makes you want to keep reading. (Also the language is kinda forced like god lord I don’t think I ever have nor ever will hear a man refer to a vagina as “your secret core”. Like no thanks pass.

Audiobook Review:
Stolen by the Fae - Paranormal Romance (Fae's Claim Book 1) is red-hot ecstasy, aphrodisia and peril swirling through the pages of this listen. Told in present tense, with alternating first-person pov's of Dante and Gia. Well detailed character descriptions and personality traits. From the first page, the chemistry between Dante and Gia is off the charts and non-stop action making it difficult to stop listening as you become enthralled in the riveting scenes. Looking forward to listening to the next audio in this paranormal romance series.

Wen Ross, Kai Kennicott naration of this paranormal romance will slay you. I absolutely loved this duet performance from my favourite duet narrators. A unmarred performance brimming with passion bringing the characters and narrative to reality. Wen Ross's inflection is intoxicating and Kai Kennicott's sweet intonation is exhilarating to listen to.

Overall, a entertaining listen.

If you want something to just read for no apparent reason than to just read then this is for you, there didn’t seem to be an overall plot. The synopsis says he’s an assassin, but he didn’t do anything besides in the beginning when they first meet. She doesn’t get to meet any of the other guys until the very end and she’s just supposed to trust them. The back story is very week, the world building is practically non-existent. This whole book’s purpose is that these two characters get together so that they can “bond” to one another. No explanations as to why, how, or who. At one point there is drama with the two of them but no reasons as to what happens when it does or why? The authors writing is rather good and well put together, they actually don’t have many steamy scenes until after the like 60% mark they are just getting to know one another. I just needed more from the characters they are both supposed to be strong military characters, and nothing happened they hung out in a house all day.

I'm the only human who works for the Bureau of Shifters and highly trained, but as soon as this man walked into the bar where I was just relaxing before my gig tomorrow to guard the new Fae Queen, I just wanted to jump his bones. Come on Gia what is wrong with you, you never think like that, you are a virgin for goodness sake.

Fae Dante walks into the bar, to just relax the night before the most important mission he's been on for the Fae Corp when he catches a whif of the most intoxicating thing he's ever smelled... He can't help but get close to her and his naughty words just make her run towards the bathroom, he knows what she ran in there for and he's going in there to help.

Get those towels out girls, cause these fae are like nothing you've ever read about....I'm still sweating and going to get the whole series....Not for anyone under 18!

Dnf at 7%. A little warm up might have been in order…this book goes straight to the sexy times which I could have maybe been into but i found the writing over descriptive in a bad way and finally had to throw in the towel after five or so eye rolls 3 chapters in. It was just kind of cheesy and one noted, no suspense or hooks to keep you reading. Intimacy between the characters was diminished by their total lack of interaction outside of sexually and made it feel very non-special. Also, the heroine is a virgin but does not behave like one at all and it feels gimmicky. Also, this little chic is supposed to be the head bodyguard for the leader of Moscow. That little detail just threw the level of ridiculousness up to the point that I can’t keep reading 5 hours more of this. Bad writing, no plot, nothing to make you care for the characters and too cheesy/unbelievable.

Fated Mates or duty

Gia works for the Bureau of Shifters and is the bodyguard for Amara the New Fae Leader of Moscow.
Dante is a Fae Assassin for the Fae elders that oppose Amara. His job is to kill Amara.
Gia and Dante accidentally run into each other at a bar and the attraction is immediate. Neither know what each other do.
At Amara’s swearing in ceremony just after she takes the oath a light shimmers near her and out steps Dante ready to kill Amara. Just as he shoots an electrical pulse at her Gia steps between them and is the one shot.
This begins a series of surprises for both Gia and Dante.
Absolutely loved this book.

Dante is part of the fae and an assassin sent to kill the Moscow leader Amara. Gia is the first human assigned to protect Amara. The two meet in a bar with neither knowing what the other does for a living. The attraction is there from the start of their meeting. Gia gets caught in the crossfire when Dante tries to kill Amara. Dante saves Gia by bonding with her even though he doesn't want or have time in his life for a mate. Gia ends up running from Dante but he's determined to get her back. Pure lust, kinkery and feelings of eventual love come into play between these two dynamic characters.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving a review.

Listen I HARD tried with this one but this is what people think you read that label romance as "mommy porn". The whole book was sex with a side story to glue the sex together into a book. The STORY should be the driving force in a book BUT if its NOT then market this as what it is. EROTIC FICTION and honestly I will sit down and devour a good erotic book that has a good story build. This author I read, Finley Fenn, all the dirty sex-capades you could possibly dream up, but that bitch takes me on an emotional rollercoaster from page one. There was SERIOUS potential for really great story telling in this one too, and the writing it self is not bad.

Definitely parts of this I really enjoyed, though a few trivial things bugged me. Pretty great D/s relationship you get to watch unfolding, even though it’s not identified as that. Gia is a really good beat...Dante is so alpha you can’t help but get a touch damp over him.

No cliffhangers.

I’m not sure I’ll continue on with the series.

Eh

Not a fan. Dudes were jerks who turned to mush. Chicks were strong who turned to mush. There was barely a real story line. And the biggest annoyance aside from it being mostly just sex was the mix of immature words for body parts to crude ones in the same paragraph and even in the same sentence. Pick a theme. Blah.

Good book!

Quite the story between Dante, the Fae assassin and Gia, security for the newest Fae ruler. Quite the steamy story!
I do plan on reading more from this author.

This book just did not do it for me. It is well written the storyline and plot just did not flow for me.

Gia is a human that works for the Bureau of Shifters set to protect a high-ranking supernatural Amara the new Fae leader. Dante is the best Fae assassin out there sent by the Elders to remove Amara from her title. That is where the story lost me. It should have been an Amara and Dante forbidden love story in my head. Not a human and Fae. Gia never would survive in this world.

If you are looking for a book filled with lust, high on the sexual tension this one is for you. Gia and Dante both had me laughing a few times, I just could not connect with the characters.

I really liked it! The only problem was I wanted more action in the plot, and less sexual encounters between the two main characters. I also wanted more information about the Fae world.

Reading this book is like burning in flames of passion, lust, and danger..
Gia is the first human protector of the next leader of Moscow, Amara. Working hard, she proved herself worthy of the position.. yet no training could have prepared her for meeting Dante. Ever since first being in his presence, sparks are flying, and mutual attraction drives them both crazy. Going out of their shells and showing their deepest desires, the mated couple faces together the threats of the new world, especially from the Fae race..
One of the best flowing books not only in this series but among all the works by this author. It was a turbulent race to explosive climax, and a teasing last scene laced with humor that already hooks up for the next read. Be prepared for hot, steamy romance, and exposed emotions – brilliant, raw, with all the darkest desires included. Both Gia and Dante bare their souls for the reader, and it’s impossible to defy the instant connection to the main characters. One could literally live their fantasies through them, feel their pain and hope, touch the changes on both physical and psychic planes. It’s so vivid that maybe if I smelled the pages, I would catch the scents of this unique story.
No time like the present to delve deep into the story and live a dream..

This was one of the most stupidest books in the world and let me tell you i tried I really did 🤦🏻‍♀️

Now the beginning grabbed me and I’m like fuck yes I loved it and then when Dante saves the stupidity of this book who’s name I don’t want to mention it just went down fucking hill

The h was so annoying like this bitch was just one of the most frustrating people and I don’t know how Dante put up with her bs

And what pissed me the fuck off was when she insinuated that he forced her like really??? Bitch he ASKED you if you wanted it and you said YES!!!!

I gave this book 1 star and it was for Dante’s state of mind I love you boo 😩❤️

Like always safe reading my lovely bookworms and remember to always be nice to one another 🤗😊

This is a new to me author and I will definitely be reading more from her. This story is action packed and fast paced full of lust and a possessive Fae. In this book there is a human bodyguard, Gia, and a Fae assassin, Dante. One thing leads to another and Dante ends up shooting Gia and then taking her through a Fae portal to his home world. Sparks fly from there, there is so much heat it practically melted my kindle. And I can’t believe I’m even saying this but IMO there was too much sex and not enough storyline. Overall this was a good read and I’m looking forward to the next installment of the series.
