Tristan...

I have a BIG appetite...

A huge and very particular appetite for a blonde, curvy, shifter who just happens to be my partner on my next mission. As a soldier of the Fae Corps, I must keep my hands off her, or risk the anger of both the Fae and the shifters. No problem then. I have the perfect solution:

Temporary relationship? Check!
Giving her multiple o's? You bet!

Making her come until she's completely lost sight of anything else but me and what I can do to her? That's my specialty, folks!

....A-n-d, you know what else? I've never felt like this before. This time it's about her. Her needs, her pleasure...

I plan to keep her high on endorphins, make sure she is fulfilled in a way she's never been before. A few hours - okay maybe days - that's all I'll need to make her submit; we'll then go our separate ways. At least that was my plan...

Then I realised she was my fated mate, Mine and everything changed...

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💛🖤💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘
World building: 🌎🌍🌏
Character development: 😳☺️🤫

The Hero: Tristan - he is with the Fae Corps and is partnered with Jess to track down the Fae resistance.

The heroine(s): Jess - best friend to Gia from Stolen by the Fae. Jess is a dragon shifter and is tasked by the Bureau of Shifters to see if the Fae and Shifters can work together

The Story: The Fae and the Bureau of Shifters have agreed to peace and have put Jess and Tristan together to track down the rest of the Fae that think their race is superior to all the others and should rule over all other races.

The Fae in the Fae corps all have very strong Fae powers and are the only Fae that can teleport. Tristan considers himself an Alpha-hole and makes no bones about how much he wants Jess. Jess has issues from her childhood which affected her greatly. Though Tristan also has secrets he has never told anyone.

Like Stolen by the Fae, this book was told in dual POV and has dual narration and like that book this was narrated by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott. I hadn’t heard these two narrators before the first book, but really liked them. They sounded a bit different in this book, but I enjoyed it just as much.

I like when the Hero uses a nickname or terms of endearment, but Tristan called Jess “Fire” and she is a dragon. A bit too spot on for my tastes. I didn’t like this one as much as the first book. The relationship between these two was very weird. Tristan is very dominant and wants Jess as a submissive. She fights against wanting that as well though she does want it and then when he makes her mad, she jumps him over and over in some weird mating ritual before she burns him with her fire.

There were parts of this that were completely unbelievable. Jess has children and keeps thinking about them and about telling Tristan about them. At one point she is worried they are in danger and she knows she has to go to them. Though she has plenty of time to have a few intimate encounters with Tristan. Priorities, right?

If bitter, angry, weak and pathetically sexually dysfunctional women craving abuse, enjoying being referred to as property, and being treated like a worthless wet hole good primarily for sex is your shtick, then this is the book for you. Only 60 pages in and the female lead is "drawn" and "loving" being told she's to do nothing he doesn't allow her to do -- eat, sleep, dress, stand, sit, orgasm -- unless she has HIS permission. Oh there's lots of sex talk, but a good portion of it is peppered with the "you are my property. I own you," kinda crap that leads to the, “You’ll do as I tell you to, Fire. You’ll eat when I tell you to, dress as I want you to. Stay where I tell you to be. You understand that now, don’t you?” Because, hey, nothing screams sexy romance like a little humiliation and mental/emotional abuse by letting the "strong" (laughable really) female lead know she is not going to be ALLOWED any CHOICES. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt and burned that mother to ash, so I can tell you there's NOTHING romantic, sexy, or loving about someone getting in your face and telling you not to speak unless given permission, not to move, not to eat. . . uh, yeah, NO, nope NOT HARDLY. Grow a spine sister and leave the messed up jerk in the rear view mirror.

But hey, it's all done out of "love," read "abuse," because the poor past-abused male cannot show her any other way how important she is and show her how "treasured" she is by denying her the option of even sitting where she wants, to demand she kneel until he releases her to do so. I'd have had more respect for the female lead if she'd just dumped that hot bowl of pasta on his "rock hard" dick, stabbed him with a fork, and left to find a REAL man who could and would behave less abusively with fewer excuses. Yep, a real knight, that male lead, Tristan, wants to hump 'em and leave 'em, but at least he struggles with his conscience about that with this new one special woman. *sighs*

In all fairness if you can make it past that first sex scene, which is literally the first third of the book, it gets a LITTLE less creepily abusive, or more to the point the future abuse and intent to do so is spoken of, but not done. There is very little plot to the book outside the three or four sex scenes that are hashed out in great detail -- with Tristan's tortured guilt over his need to "dominate" his woman/property in order to show her how bad he "needs/wants" her, and her fearing admitting to him or herself that she likes it. I'd say that less than five chapters of the whole book are something other than sex scenes. However you slice it though it's just another of those sad books that presents abuse as "domination" and tries to peddle it as "Love" with a capital "L" and tries to condition readers, women really, to enjoy being degraded, humiliated, and made subservient to men, claiming that despicable behavior is romantic and sexy. Yeah, huh, NO.

Laxmi Hariharan has continued to impress me as her writing skills and story-telling abilities have improved over time. Her first books are good, but not outstanding. However, there has always been something about her stories (the world-building, the character development, the imagery) that has hinted at something great that she had not yet accessed. I think she has finally hit her stride.

The characters in this book are complex and emotion-driven. The connection between Jess and Tristan is a tangible thing, something utterly undeniable, a virtual living and breathing entity in and of itself. There is no escaping the emotions shared, and they are intense.

The bulk of the story focuses on the interaction of Jess and Tristan. Very few other characters appear, and those that do play a relatively small part. Even the conflict with Boris, which might ordinarily represent the climax of the story, only serves to support the bigger story, which is the struggle for Jess and Tristan to let go of their fears and trust one another.

The powerful words used to convey the story of Jess and Tristan are not only descriptive, but also those most likely to cause a visceral reaction in the reader. These characters are both blunt and crude in their thoughts and speech, both beasts in their own way. Sentences like this one leave no room for interpretation: "He's sex on a stick, and I want to spear myself on him." And Jess's observation of Tristan provokes a great visual image of the animal within him: "His gaze darts to my mouth, and he angles his head. The gesture is so feral, so animalistic." It made me think of my dog.

I enjoyed both the internal musings and the conflicts they each experienced because of the candid nature with which they revealed their feelings. Tristan, always second-guessing his actions thinks, "Discretion? Meet me. Your nemesis," and later, this, "And the lies keep coming; the extent of my self-delusion would fool anyone else, but I know better." Of course, Jess is equally self-effacing when she acknowledges to herself, "I have the best kind of plan for this escape, spontaneity, aka, I have no plan but to wing it." Where some of their behaviors might have turned me off or made me dislike them, their vulnerabilities made them relatable and forced me to like them.

I have nothing bad to say about this book. I highly recommend it, although I do suggest reading Stolen by the Fae first.

Tristan is a soldier of the Fae Corps, he's a very hardened fae, but when he catches a glimpse of Jessica at Dante and Gia's mating ceremony all fades around him. He only has eyes for the female. Jess has no idea what this beast that is running off with her is going to do. How can he have that control of her, she is after all a powerful dragon shifter. Besides, she must gain control before it's too late.

Will this turn of events shatter all chances the Bureau of Shifters & the Fae Corps have of working together? After all Dragon Shifter Jessica and Fae Tristan were going to be the first partners in this trial.

This is the second book of this series and it only gets better, I can't stop reading these books. I have experienced what can only be described as intense This author actually made me feel anticipation of what Tristan was going to do to Jess at the beginning, then the want that Jess was feeling for Tristan later. I felt as if I was there, as if somehow I was watching and waiting for it to happen, what a sureal feeling. I have felt like I'm in a story before, but this story surpassed all I've felt before.. Kudos Ms. Hariharan!

Tristan And Jess's Story Is Filled With Danger And Deception As Well As Surprises And Loads Of Steam! Tristan, A Fae, Partners With Jess, A Dragon Shifter, To Track Down The Fae Resistance, But Jess Has Secrets That Jeaoardize Their Mission.

This is book two of the Fae's Claim series, which consists of interconnected stand-alones. Book one was Dante and Gia's story. In their story, Dante deposed Boris, Commander of the Fae Corps.

As book two opens, Dante is now Commander of the Fae Corps and there is a gathering in Singapore in celebration of his and Gia's mating.

The Fae and the Bureau of Shifters are tentatively joining forces. The Fae and dragons have been rivals, so they decide to carefully test the ability of the races to work together. Jess, a dragon shifter, and Tristan, a Fae, have been selected to be partners in a mission to track down the Fae resistance.

Jess, Gia's best friend, desperately needs this assignment. Boris, the deposed commander, is holding her girls hostage. For their release, she must betray her new partner, lure him to Boris, and there is little time to spare.

Tristan has a difficult past. He was bullied and abused in an orphanage until he ran away at age sixteen, when he met Nolan. After they were caught and spent time in rehab together, they built good lives - Nolan became a doctor and Tristan became a chef. A revenge attack by the berserkers changed everything, though, when Tristan discovered his powers and teleported victims to safety. He joined the Fae Corps as soon afterward.

Tristan and Jess are destined to be mates, but both fight the attraction. When one wants to give in, the other has doubts. Tristan senses Jess has secrets. Jess has her own troubled past which somehow brings them closer. Yet Jess's first priority must be to rescue her girls, and to betray her mate. They do get their happy ending, and it ends with a cliffhanger that will likely lead to Nolan's story in book three.

Tristan and Jess's story is well-written. The plot is nicely developed, with danger and deception as well as surprises and loads of steam. It does drag in parts of the story, however. The characters are nicely developed. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Tristan and Jess. I rate this book four stars.

Tristan Won my Heart ❤

This book started exactly how Stolen ended: with two alphaholes fae facing each other in a fighting match. Why? Well this fae are a violent species and all the males appear to have too much testosterone in their systems, LOL. Another thing? These males are too fond of kidnappings when they find their mates. Seriously, Tristan just went and copy Dante by stealing Jess and locking her up in his private retreat. But don't get me wrong, I liked their interactions, their banter and the constant battle for domince. Though, I must say I expected Jess to be just as dominant as Tristan (she is a ***king dragon, for God's sake!) not to submit to his dominant side so easily. She did fought sometimes, showing him her dragon, but must of the time she was too submissive and that annoyed me. And Tristan? By the fifth or six chapter I already disliked his guts with a vengeance. Sit here, stand there, eat what I cook, dress with what I tell you, it was all orders with him! I find a dominant sexy ONLY in bed but this SOB had to control every aspect of Jess and that pissed me off.

Those were my only complains about the book until chapter 20, the story begins to change from that point on. More exactly Tristan begins to show another side of him, a less alphahole side. By the end he had won my heart (though Dante is still the love of my live 💖😈) and the best part was that Jess finally showed her badass side!! That Tristan-Jess-Charlie combo to blast off the fae evil psycho (like I call him) was AWESOME!!

Everything was perfect even when the characters annoyed me for a while and the end left me clinging to the edge of my bed. This novel definitely ends with HEA for Jess and Tristan but it leaves a cliffhanger that will surely start the real story of Doc in book 3. In other words, Property's end leave you needing to read Seduced by the Fae.

Rating this one five stars cause this book had me hooked from the start! Laxmi has this way of writing where she knows exactly how to hook in a reader from the start. The tension between characters from the start is so strong and pure you can practically feel it. I was hooked in and glued to every page.

I really enjoyed the relationship between Tristan and Jessica in this book. The trauma they both faced was really harsh and impactful, but they both support each other and soon help one another open up and truly feel each other’s pain. It’s pretty clear to tell they need one another to heal each other’s damage and just help one another rise above it and flourish in their new life together. Beautifully handled I must say. The addition of the children omg the cherry on top. Something about an alpha male with children that just melts your heart. It was a joy to read.

The steam in this book (and the rest in this series) is super spicy and intense. Boy I can never put Laxmi’s books down because of it. You’re always reaching for a cup of water while reading their sexual encounters cause they’re so alive with a burst of flames (yes, pun intended). Laxmi has to be one of if not THE best spicy/smut author on here. Her descriptions are so dark, delicious, and perfectly vulgar. It’s so hot to read to the point where you’ve become the character and are the one beneath this alpha fae. So. Freaking. Hot!!

Would I recommend this story? Yes, but only if you love intense and heated spice in almost every chapter.

I read the entire series so I’ll be posting reviews for all the books in time! I like to gather my thoughts first.

Property of the Fae is a smoking hot addition to the Fae's Claim series. We are first introduced to Tristan and Jessica in Fae's Claim book 1, Stolen by the Fae, in which they were secondary characters. Each story in the series is a standalone, so you don't have to read book 1 first. Having said that, there is character overlap between the books so knowing the fully backstory is an added bonus if you read them in order.

Tristan is a domineering alpha-hole Fae and Jessica is a dragon shifter. Both of them come from tortured pasts and complicated personal histories. Tristan and Jessica must work through their own personal issues, as a couple, in order to have a successful relationship. This story is a great spin on the old saying, Everyone has baggage - It's how you deal with it that matters. They are both flawed, but those imperfections are what make them work so well together.

Tristan is a very dominating character, but not to the point of demeaning Jessica. There are a lot of dom/sub scenarios in this book. Just a heads up for those who don't like that. I found the plot interesting, the sex scenes juicy and graphic, and I will definitely read Fae's Claim #3, Taken by the Fae, when it comes out. I gave this book 4 stars not because of the story itself but because of the grammatical errors throughout. There was misplaced punctuation and some missing words in sentences throughout the story. I wish the editors would have reviewed it a little more carefully.

Jess came to the Fae soldiers on behalf of dragon shifters, to carry out a mission and prove the two races can cooperate well.
Only she could not have expected she would be paired with her mate. Which obviously makes much more difficult for her to follow her own plans. Yet facing her nightmares and sacrificing all she has for those she loves, the plans are ultimately changing..
Hot paranormal romance story with steamy scenes that light a fire of passion and desire in the coldest heart. Reading some of the pages, I only wanted to snuggle into my bed, under the blanket, and daydream about... well, read it for yourself. The romance involved is full of drama, daring and trying the boundaries, yet sparking the imagination with every sentence. Now wouldn't you want a man who will cook for you? I definitely would :)
Jess is a very interesting heroine, strong on the surface and in her heart, broken on the inside, hiding many secrets, not trusting anyone. Fierce defender and passionate warrior, this woman can drive you crazy with her stubbornness, compassion, and the dark side that slowly appears as the story unfolds. On the other side, her mate Tristan is a different story. I did not know half the book if I hate him with all I have, only to fell in love with him in the other half of the story. Hot and cold as he is, he can push you to the very edge only to save you in the last instant and show what he really has in himself. And man, those cooking skills... yeah, I could live with that.
As each story seems to up the game - intensity of emotions, heat, drama, twists - I am already very curious what the next book in the series will bring. After all, the promise of more is already there, and even some hints of whose story might come, aand since the level is already set so high... come my way, my next fated mates couple <3

I love a good rescue story!

Review:

Property of the Fae by @authorlaxmi is the second book in the Fae’s Claim series. In this story, Jessica, Gia’s former Shifter Bureau partner, has been paired with Tristan on a mission with the goal of improving the relationship between the Fae and the rest of society. However, Boris has stolen something precious from Jess and is demanding a trade- her children for her mate.

I felt like the author really beefed up the storyline in this book compared to the last. Instead of the spice being the main focus of the novel, there is a much more equal balance. I also really enjoyed how each character’s trauma is more defined in this story as well. While still written in a stream of consciousness like fashion, the reader has to pay close attention to the story as ideas and feeling can shift drastically from one sentence to the next.

I liked this story much more than the first and excited to see more potential mates introduced during this book.

I enjoyed this story! I listened to the audio and the narrators did a fantastic job with it! They were great with the different voices for the different characters and I love dual narration. The story is interesting and different. The premise of the fae and what that constitutes in this series is very different than anything else I have read. I liked Jess and Tristan...for the most part lol. Both of them have been abused and have found ways of protecting themselves from it ever happening again or letting people get too close. They both are drawn to each other and pretty much know that they are mates but they are both in complete denial of it. Neither one will give in to the concept of them being mates and what that might mean and potentially finding a way to move forward with that, except they can't stay away from each other so things keep growing between them anyways. Both continue to hold on to secrets and they continue to butt heads, argue and lie to the other. That was one part that was a little frustrating for me. If they just communicated a tiny little bit...lol I truly enjoyed this story though and I loved the little teaser about the next two couples. I will definitely be checking those out to find out what happens with those characters.

A THRILLING PIECE OF PERFECTION!!!
Intensely satisfying! Laxmi not only brought the house down, she razed the entire town, leaving nothing but rubble in her wake. One non-stop, action packed, hard hitting, page flipping bombshell that keeps you riveted on a razors edge. Sparks fly as intrigue, danger and suspense ensues in epic proportions. Throw in distress and turmoil and you have the recipe for one block busting, prize winning dynamo. A spinning throng of vexing circumstances and a bevy of daunting events thrusts this bad boy to life beautifully. Ramping all the swirling emotions into play with every color on the spectrum. Pushing through the trials and tribulations along with a multitude of plot twists and turns that leave you breathless craving more. The chemistry sizzles from the pages alluring and mesmerizing until you feel the electrifying hum through your viens. The characters personalities are authentic, genuine and realistic with depth and qualities that transform and blend smoothly. The scenes are so vividly detailed and descriptive its paints a fantastic backdrop. Remarkable job Laxmi, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

If you have never read an Alpha-hole at his worst, possessive, dominant, stubborn and deliciously sexy, well here's your chance. This was uncontrollable passion-filled sexual fireworks from the moment the H and h meet. Tristan and Jess are all kinds of messed up from their childhood but have mastered their demons, or so they think. Both are in special opt agencies for their respective races, and as a Fae and Dragon shifter, they are a lethal combination. One that is frowned upon due to the tension between the fae and dragon shifters. Tristan and Jess are suppose to prove that a new alliance is possible, however they go off-track and things heat up.
I absolutely enjoyed this latest installment of Laxmi's storytelling. Though this is only the second in the series (Fae's Claim) the universe she created for this series began way back in the Many Lives series and was extend recently in the Dragon Protector's series. I highly recommend this book and the series. If you love unbridled love/hate seduction sexual steam from shifter/fae, then you hit gold with Laxmi!

Laxmi Hariharan has written another fantastic story about the Fae and dragon shifters. I absolutely loved reading this book, the dynamics between Jessica and Tristan was intense and the sexual tension was through the roof.

Jessica is a dragon shifter and Jessica’s attraction to Tristan was basically on sight, but her main focus was saving her children who Boris was holding ransom. She knew the only way to get them back was by using Tristan.

Tristan was a typical alpha-hole Fae who thought that he was the world’s biggest gift. Once he sighted Jessica or ‘Fire’ as he called her. He wanted Fire and nothing was going to keep him from her. He recognised her as his mate, but felt unworthy so was just going to use her for sex. But fate had other plans for them both.

There were a lot of funny moments and the interaction between the characters was very entertaining and the drama kept you wondering what was going to happen. There was the right amount of intrigue and suspense as well as the steamy bedroom action. If this is your type of romance, then this one will fill all your needs.

Everything I was expecting and More!
Laxmi has given us exactly what we have been waiting for in “Property of the Fae”. This rollercoaster ride is an enjoyable addition to the “Fae’s Claim” series. This tale of Tristan and Jess is well-written dramatic, suspenseful and sensual. It has a compelling storyline that would be hilarious if wasn’t so tragic. The unbridled sexual tension and chemistry between the main characters is deliciously wicked and steamy. The backstory on these two is tragic and emotional but they seem to have put their demons to rest.. or have they? With the tension between the Fae and the Dragon shifters can Tristan and Jess prove that an alliance can work for the betterment of both races? Can they make it as mates? I highly recommend this tale and thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Tristan and Jess’ lives and look forward to the next installment in the series.

You want a totally hot fantasy / paranormal romance series? If so (and if your heart and, umm, other parts can handle it) then Laxmi Hariharan’s Fae's Claim is for you. I know that from its first book, Stolen by the Fae (separately reviewed), so I am (quite happily) not at all surprised that Property of the Fae (Book 2) had the same “impact”. Yummy. And total fun. This can easily be read as a stand-alone, and is clearly designed on that basis, but I suggest you not miss out on that first book as they are both truly delicious. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

I Give this Book a 3.5/4ish Star Rating, Listing as 3 due to having more 3’s in my rating list.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this book or not honestly, cause I don’t read as much FAE as I used to cause finding good ones tend to be hard to find, let alone find ones written well.
This book was really very good and interesting, Though I am struggling with the rating a bit though, cause some parts of the book did drag a little.
I quite enjoyed Tristan a lot, Jess on the other hand took a little bit more to click with.
The flow in the storyline is quite interesting, it’s something I’ll have to get use to, when I read more of the series.

Heat: 3.5ish/5
Romance: 3.5/5
Drama: 4.5/5
Suspense: 3.5/5
Dark(?): No
HEA(?): Yes

I haven’t read book 1 of this series, but I’m quite interested to see how that one goes!

Well I read more from Author? I absolutely will! :)

Audio Review:
Property of the Fae (Fae's Claim, Book 2) is a paranormal romance with it's own panache writing. With well detailed world building descriptions and settings, full fledged character development, and metaphors that are pragmatic. Character's are complex and emotion-driven. Jess and Tristan have undeniable chemistry and a intense relationship. I love the aspect of a fae and dragon shifter. We get a glimpse of the supporting characters from the previous audio. A sensual and suspenseful listen. Looking forward to listening to the next audio in this series when its available.

Narators Wen Ross, Kai Kennicott were the perfect choice for this duet naration. I absolutely loved this duet naration. Wen Ross's deep baritone inflection is intoxicating and easy to listen to all day long. Kai Kennicott has a absolute sweetheart intonation. Always a pleasure to listen to. Together they brought the characters and story to reality.

Love the narrative and naration. Entertaining listen.

Too long of a sex scene( half the book )

Would have given more stars if only the sex scene didn't take half the book. Like her previous book, the sex scene takes too long, i was skimming to find the end of it. I don't know who thinks men beat their chest like monkeys but even that got annoying. Either these men are animal shifters or Fae. Men don't beat their chest like gorillas. I will not recommend this story to anyone i know, simply cause the sex scene is too long. Great concept of the story. I love shifter stories, but these men i felt like they were gorillas not human. More story and less sex scene would have been better. Seemed like a porn book rather than an actual story of how a woman and a man fight their attraction.

Jess and Tristan

They were both abused in every way when they were growing up so this relationship is going to start out on shaky ground. They have many secrets to tell the other, but will that bring them together or keep them apart?
They have a mission to go out on to see if the dragons and the Fae can work together, how will that work out for their races?
He wants her to be his submissive with no strings attached. He wants her and that is that. But, her dragon sees him as her mate and she is no submissive, and Boris is holding her kids captive. She must escape the safe house to save them. However, that is one of the secrets she has not told him about yet.
This is a must read guys and gals and it's going to be a bumpy ride. Five 🌟

Absolutely loved this book. It flowed seamlessly from the first that is something that is important to me when reading a series.

Jess we know from the first book is a dragon shifter. Here we get to learn more about her and the path her life has traveled.

She is to pair up with Chef on a mission to see if the Far Corps and the Bureau of Shifters could work together

Tristan/Chef we also met in book one. As with Jess we get a more in depth look into the path his life has taken to bring him to where he is.

Though they seem to inadvertently complete the mission they were to be assigned, they had a few twist and turns along the way. Some that will stay with them for eternity.

A definite must read. Especially if you want to know what happened. Will be recommending.

I had read the other book in the series too and recommend reading the series in order if you can. The other books sets up some of the situations in this book and will clarify those details.

They really fit well as a couple. They present tough exteriors and try to hide their emotions. Both have had painful pasts which they don't shy away from discussing. They are not looking for a mate but can't ignore the bond once they meet.

As a couple, they have great chemistry. They keep pushing each others boundaries and testing limits. The ending fits well. I am looking forward to to the next book.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

This is a book 2 in the series of standalone, and you can read them as such, but some events would make more sense if read in order.
Tristan is an alpha fae, it makes him dominating. So be prepared for some D/s situations, noting hard there but some readers may not like such scenes. I liked how his character was growing in the book, so he would grow up, and maybe become a better mate?
Jess is a kickass woman, and shifter as well, she's BFF of Gia, that was the heroine of book one. I really liked her an how she was doing everything in her own way. She did well as a strong character that was sending a powerfull message.

This book starts as book one ends. Jessica, Gia's best friend, causes Tristen, Dante's best friend, to lose his match against Dante. So, Tristen is gonna teach her a lesson. Tristen is a Fae Corps warrior and Jessica is a dragon shifter and they have a mission to complete. Both are deeply damaged by their pasts and afraid to trust. Jessica has secrets that will affect what they do. The more he's around her, the more Tristen changes. He has an effect on her as well. This book is powerful where these two dominant personalities learn to live and love despite what the world throws at them. Together they can get through anything.

Jessica had unleashed Tristan’s desire to possess, dominate and subjugate. She knew why she was tempting him, and she wasn't going to back down. But Tristan and Jess dragged a painful past that had left them with deep scars. The story moved me not being far from a reality we have heard before. Intense descriptions with pain, anguish and a deep need to heal, overcome fears and embrace their new chances. Second book in this series full of strong emotions, lot of passion, intriguing characters and a vicious villain.

Property of the Fae

Wow. Jess is a dragon shifter working for the Bureau trying to get a peace treaty with the Fae. She sees Tristan and Dante fighting as the Fae do and decides to pick on Tristan. She distracts him and Dante wins the fight. Later, he tracks her down in the celebration of Dante and Gia getting engaged.
It is all a whirlwind after that. They both are fighting their feelings to each other and catastrophe after another happens. There are surprises after another throughout the book.

Tristan and Jess...what chemistry is this as they both try to believe it is just lust because surely they couldn't care after the abuse they both suffered for years. Does magic happen for this Fae and Dragon shifter? Will Tristan finally figure Jess out in time to help her or will Jess keep her secrets until the end?? A heartfelt, emotional love story in the Fae's Claim series that will have you wanting more!!😍😍😍

This was a great 2nd book in the series. I think this story had more to read and was more in-depth. I wanted to read more about the characters as the story went on. Don’t get me wrong this story had lots of steamy parts, but it my favorite parts were the conversation and the action the characters had together. There was also more romance, and a twist at the end. I also loved the funny banter between Tristian and Fire. Can’t wait to read more.
