A savage army. A friend in chains. Can one vampire prevent an endless war?

Jerusa Phoenix hungers for blood, but her ghost won’t let her feed. Starved and powerful, she’s forced to choose between chasing after flesh-feasting savages or going behind enemy lines to save her imprisoned friend. After a ruthless battle to protect some innocent humans, she encounters three vampire women who make her a deadly proposition.

With her allies attempting to stave off the endless flow of flesh-eaters, Jerusa may just have to sacrifice her friend to battle evil. As powerful enemies close in from all sides, can Jerusa pull off the impossible, or will her actions trigger an all-out vampire war?

Jerusa's adventures continue...

Part 3 in the series continues the adventures of Jerusa's and her friends' and foes' and is as engaging, surprising and very well interpreted by all the narrators/actors as the previous two books:)

Jerusa still can't feed and still keeps it hidden from her companions... Sylvanus is still held captive by the Divine Vampires, not able to contact and help Jerusa... But quite a long time has passed since we said goodbye to them in book two and some unexpected things have happened in between - something is not quite right, the savage vampires do not act as they are supposed to, and there's definitely something evil hanging in the air... So much so that even the Furies decide to leave their safe haven and join Jerusa in her quest...

The plot is really fast-paced, with a lot of changes of perspective when we jump from one place to another, from one gorup of our characters to the next to see what all of them are up to. These "jumps" add a lot of dynamics to the story and make you be constantly on the watch cause you really don't want to miss the smallest bit:) There are a lot of characters in the book but most of them are distinctive enough for us to recognize and remember them, as they do have features that are unique to each of them. And the fight scenes are so descriptive that you do see them in your mind - they do feel almost cinematic.

I love the way the books in the series are narrated - it's a true radio drama, with all the actors doing a fantastic job. It's real pleasure listening to them all. Can't wait to listen to the next one in the series:)
