Publisher's summary

Terror is closer than you think....

Greed leads a young man to make a fatal bet. A sleepwalker is stalked by a sinister spirit in the shadow world between dreams and reality. And in a town ravaged by a savage beast, a desperate man will do anything to protect his loved one.

Scare Street is proud to present the best in bone-chilling supernatural horror. This volume contains three spine-tingling tales for your listening pleasure. But first, lock the doors, close the windows, and be sure to turn on the lights.

Safe and sound, you begin to listen. But wait...something scratches on your bedroom door. And you realize all the locks in the world can't protect you. Because the thing you fear most is already inside.

The lights go out, the door creaks open. And the real nightmare begins....

Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Are you afraid of the dark? No? Are you sure?

These three stories are sure to send the deepest and darkest fears that you have creeping in, and they are not going to leave you disappointed. Ron Ripley, as usual, is amazing, and his story is one that is going to leave you afraid to turn the page!

If you enjoy a good horror read, you need to check this one out.

A chilling collection.

A haunted house, a creature of nightmares, and a monster too close to home. The perfect way to spend an evening alone.

Stories okay

The narrator is kind of one note. The stories are all okay but nothing great. I received a free copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Scary Story Nostalgia

This is like a mixture of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and Are you Afraid of the Dark. My inner creepy kid hi nostalgia hard and enjoyed each of the tales in this short volume. There are three uniquely different stories to lose yourself in. If you're worried they'll be too horrifying or graphic I can assure you this is more on a PG-13 level with instances of graphic description. Think more along the lines of Grimm's original disturbing fairy tales and folklore having a story baby. Now to catch up on the other audio volumes!

Good listen

Three great short stories. Ghosts, shadow creatures and perhaps a werewolf! Take a dive into the paranormal and enjoy these stories. Great narration by John Pirhalla. Give it a read/listen and then check out the rest of the series!

Each is creepier than the previous!

All of the short stories books that I have read so far are awesome! Some of them, I swear, somebody pulled out of my dreams. This one was no different. I can’t wait to read the next!

Good Horror Shorts

I totally enjoy listening to these short horror stories by great authors with vivid imaginations and good narration only complaints are to short and wanted them to continue and no need to read in order. If I had to say which was my favorite it would be Gambling as I love ghosts then toss-up between Shadow Creature and Born Tonight. Keep them coming!

Heart racing thrilling

I loved each and everyone of the short stories. They make your heart thump and race as if you're in the story with the characters. I'm not sure which one I liked the most. But one things For sure it's well worth listening to very fast as far as time going by.
