Publisher's summary

New job, new city: Mason hopes both will lead to him escaping burnout as a ballet dancer. Not living out of a suitcase anymore is a bonus. His new life gets off to a steamy start when he encounters his new neighbor, David. Things soon become complicated when Mason turns up for his first day at BalletEast, to discover that David is not only his choreographer, but the man who inspired him to take up dancing in the first place.

With two divorces and a string of failed relationships behind him, David has no intention of promising "forever" to anyone. But when he meets Mason, he falls hard and fast for the enigmatic young dancer. As David becomes more serious about Mason, he wants to open his lover’s eyes to the kinks that he enjoys.

Whilst the two men are navigating the early stages of their romance, Mason is facing immense pressures in the rehearsal studios that threaten to dampen his natural enthusiasm for life. Will David’s love and support be enough to help Mason continue to hold his head high and dance like he’s never danced before?

*Contains explicit language and sex scenes, including mild, consensual BDSM*

A Dance for You

A Dance for You is a sweet story, with all the feels, about Mason, a dancer, and David, a much older choreographer. They happen to be neighbors and work together. I love their story as they grew in their relationship, as David introduces Mason to his kinkier side as a Dom. I love how wonderful Mason's family is, how excepting his parents are of all their children. This is a sweet make you feel good story and I highly recommend it.
Narrator Neil Macfarlane does an amazing job.

My favorite in the series so far!

4.5 Stars!

I loved Mason from the start. He's sweet and hardworking, perhaps a little naive in thinking he could handle Kirk's bullying on his own, but still willing to stand up for himself and not depend on David or anyone else. It took me a bit longer to warm up to David, he was nice and treated Mason right, but he was very set in his ways. Despite the age gap, they fit very well together, especially since Mason was willing to bend a little and experiment and at least in that sense, David was very patient with him and willing to wait until Mason was ready to move forward. Even if I felt the progression as they included some BDSM elements to their relationship was a bit forced at times, the sex scenes were very hot and passionate.

Neil McFarlane has a very pleasant voice and his British accent is swoon-worthy, even if his tone was monotonous at times and the different voices aren't always easily distinguishable. Still, I felt like he managed to bring a lot of emotion into the narration and I found myself tearing up at one point.

Overall, this was a pretty good, sexy, enjoyable audiobook with some light angst thrown in for good measure and after reading the e-book and listening to the audio, I recommend if at all possible, to pick the audio or better yet, just get them both. LOL

Dynamic, romantic and real. I loved Mason and David!!

I love Colette's writing and I loved this story as an audiobook! Mason has so much love to give and I hated how he is bullied in the book. The way Mason is written you can't help but feel his emotions and I just fell in love with him and his passion for dance.

The meet-cute between Mason and David feels like fate and I loved the blatant flirting straight from the start. Colette does so well making moving in and building furniture sexy. David is so sophisticated and sexy. The May/December dynamic works really well between these characters and as the story progresses I forgot about the age difference as they fit so perfectly together. I also liked that the story is realistic. They promise commitment but not marriage, as many books do, and I liked that this felt so real and is still a wonderful happily ever after.

The BSDM elements are approached slowly and realistically, while still being sexy. I kind of wanted more and I really wanted the spanking to happen on the page but, alas it was clever of Colette to tease us! Well done! I enjoyed the whole story and will definably be adding this to read again!

I loved the narration, it was really well done but more of a read-to-you style as opposed to where the narrator does different characters voices. Still very easy to listen to and I do love an English accent!

Thanks for reading!

as good as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year.
it's like a B

Mason and David are great together.

I loved this story when I read the e-book, and I love the audio version even more! Mason and David are so sweet and sexy together, and a terrific narrator enables the listener to hear their feelings in the voices he gives the men. This is a wonderful story of friendship and family, and how a relationship can work when one partner is quite a bit older than the other. I liked Mason in A Dance for Two, and I love him here as he and David develop their own D/s romance. David is good for Mason, as both a mentor of sorts and as a caring lover, and Mason shows David that his feelings about committed love can still change. These two are very sexy together, and I highly recommend their story.

Love David & Mason

I love this story of David and Mason, they are spectacular together. I love that they meet before each knowing who the other is. It's a tough road for Mason at his new ballet troupe and I love that Mason was very supportive but not overbearing, he was able to keep their personal and professional relationship separate just like Mason wanted. The narrator did an incredible performance of the character voices and of the story itself. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

Connection plus a touch of kink creates love match

I enjoyed the narrator, i think he added depth to this amazing story. I prefer audio books where the narrator creates different voices for his characters and in this book he did not do that. He told the story nicely, but i would have preferred that he became more of the characters.

Lots of connection, steamy with a touch of kink and falling in love make a terrific story! I enjoyed the passion and commitment that both MC's gave to their relationship and to their careers. I so enjoyed the journey these men took to find each other! Honest communication, sexy times and sharing experiences really made this a fulfilling story to read.

The story was a gentle ride that was a beautiful slow burn to love. We had already met Mason in the first book of this series and i really liked him then. It was terrific to get to really focus on getting to know him and his dreams and fears. David is such a good match for Mason, together they make each other better men.

This is the second book in the series, however it could be read as a stand-alone. We did get to see Adam from the first book and that really was nice for me, because i loved book one, A Dance For Two!
