Publisher's summary

Ben has two passions in life, books and Bookmarked, the bookstore he owns in the town of Chester Falls. But when he spots the guy across the bar, all broody, gorgeous and hard muscle, he can't resist reaching out.

Tristan's life could be worse, but moving into a new town and finding your boyfriend cheating on you with a random guy, all on the same day, is pretty up there on the scale of 'how much worse can it get?

Things start looking up the moment the sexy stranger with the nerdy glasses and deep brown eyes asks him the right question at the right time.

It was a one off.
It meant nothing.
Right?

When fate traps Ben and Tristan into a second meeting, will Ben finally listen to his best friend? And will Tristan put his past aside to catch his sexy bookworm?

Welcome to Chester Falls, where you can expect to meet sweet men, sexy situations, interfering friends and lots, lots of feels.

How to Catch a Bookwork is a 12k, MM romance short story set in the small town of Chester Falls. The events in this story happen before the events of How to Catch a Prince.

cute and sweet short story

A fun introduction to the series. If you are looking for a lighthearted small town MM then I recommend this series.

Usually love this narrator but this wasn't his best work - lots of long pauses for one of the characters that got annoying.

Sweet

I have never experienced this before, but Nick Hudson manages to narrate one main character quite unconvincingly, and the other really well! The first segment had me worried I would be regretting the whole thing, but then we heard from Ben's perspective and I was sold. Very sweet and charming introduction to this series by Ana Ashley, I am looking forward to the rest!

Short and Sweet

This is the only book I hadn’t yet read in the series and it was just as good as the others. Ben and Tristan are so cute together and adorably nervous about how to proceed. It was a nice short and sweet story.

I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review

Short, sweet and sexy.

Sweet, cute, bite-sized prequel to a new series set in Chester Falls (Connecticut).
I love stories about nerdy librarians or book owners, and this one features Ben, a nerdy bookshop owner that turns into an assertive tiger in bed (and, well, in other places, too) thanks to Tristan.
I absolutely adored what Nick Hudson did with this little jewel!

Unrealized potential

I understand that this is a short story, but I still feel cheated somehow. Ben and Tristan have a hot hookup in a bar, then lose touch for a while, only to find each other again and struggle through the awkwardness of does he/doesn't he uncertainty. Their past dating lives have been abysmal, their faith in love broken by bad experiences and lack of opportunity. It's a fairly simple story, and they do manage to get together by the end, but it was so rushed I felt out of breath at the end. Maybe it's because it's an HFN, not an HEA (which I agree couldn't happen in six chapters). I just...I wanted more. The narration was just okay....I assume Tristan was meant to sound like a Southerner or something, and the actor did manage to differentiate between the two MCs.

Sweet story

Loved Tristan and Ben. Cute, sweet romance that fits right in with the other books in the series. Nick Hudson does a fabulous job with the narration.

Loved it!!

I loved Ben and Tristan!! Tristan was new to town and hooked up with Ben an a club. He gives Ben his number but he doesn't hear from Ben again. Ben owned the local book store. They meet up again. They have an instant attraction. So good!! Loved it. Nick Hudson does a fantastic job with the narration!!
